Sea shards, also called mermaid tears, have had a lifetime of tumbling in the ocean. Each piece of sea glass has it’s own journey and history. Broken bottles, jars, and plates that were thrown away years, decades, or even centuries ago, find their way to a distant shore. Let your imagination go. How far has each piece traveled? Whose hands have touched it? What was it originally…a necklace, a vase, or even a lantern glass washed up after a shipwreck? Over the years the discarded items get broken into smaller pieces by rocks and ocean currents. They are transformed during their voyage, but they will not be found on our beaches forever.
Sea glass is being aggressively hunted everywhere, plastic has taken over the world, littering has become strictly prohibited, and recycling has become a way of life. These miraculous sea shards can never be duplicated, they are as different as each snowflake is. This is what gives each piece its value and significance. Do not be fooled by sea glass that has been mechanically tumbled or chemically treated. True sea glass and sea tile have been tossed in the sea until they are weathered and smoothed by the elements. They are no longer refuse, but instead, a work of art. We have lovingly created each piece of sterling silver jewelry, but you, by wearing it, will give it life.

We launched our Sea Glass Jewelry collection for the first time at the Shoreline Wine Fest on August 15 and 16, 2010 at Bishop's Orchards in Guilford. Thanks to everyone for coming to visit us!
